Sungrow SG5K-D Inverter

Marty/Svarc, could either of you please comment on following: I was told by one of the installers the Sungrow SG5K-D inverter can be fitted with a battery without much extra expense; is this correct? I was under the impression if I want to add battery later on it would be cheaper to install the hybrid Sungrow instead. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Paulaching

You can quite easily add a battery with a standard inverter, but it does limit your options a bti. You can get more info here:

Many thanks Marty; you’ve changed my mind getting the hybrids.
