Powerwave panels and Sungrow Inverter

Hi, thanks for all the info on this website. I’ve just started looking into getting solar and it’s very helpful.

I’ve been quoted for:
Powerwave Panels - 315 watt Mono Perc Split Cell (twin power series), 15yr warranty.
5kW Sungrow Inverter - SG3K-D/SG5K-D

6.6kW $6,336
10kW $10,500
both quotes including the govt rebate/incentive.
I’m on the Central Coast NSW.

Is that a good system and price?
I was thinking of getting 10kW for the longterm production and increased paybacks.

If you are thinking 10kW system for longterm, you should make sure you get really reliable products. Please see our Best Solar Panels article. You don’t necessarily need the best, but perhaps something high on the list. Q Cells is a good option which straddles premium and value:
