Solar Quote - Melbourne - Multiple

Have been trying to work out / find a decent installer in Melbourne but the review sites (and what some installers say about others) makes it hard to know who to go with. I’m looking to add (I have an existing 3kw system, Fronius Galvo) ~5-8kw (I know max is 10 for single phase) worth of panels on a Fronius Gen24 5 or 6. Trying to have enough to cover all usage even on cloudy days/winter months. Averaging ~20kw/d usage at the moment.

Have got the following quotes so far:

Arise Solar,
Good reviews on productreview / canstarr but average on solar review sites:

  1. 19 x Jinko Tiger Pro 415W Tier-1 Black monocrystalline panels
  2. 1 x Fronius 6kW/8.2kW Primo Single Phase Smart Inverter
  3. 1 x Fronius Australia Pty Ltd Smart Meter
***7.9kW system with 6kW Inverter (Discounted Booking Price) - $6,831 (With complete installation, No Hidden charges, No extra costs)
7.9kW system with 8.2kW Inverter (Discounted Booking Price) - $7,331 (With complete installation, No Hidden charges, No extra costs)

Solar Power Nation
19 x Jinko Solar Co Ltd 415w (Tiger Pro) Solar Panels
1 x Fronius Australia Pty Ltd 6kW Single Phase GEN 24
Inverter
1 x Metering Not Included (Metering is completed by your
Electricity Retailer) Metering
1 x Fronius Australia Pty Ltd Smart Meter Single Phase
Other Parts
$7,799.00

Jet Solar (I believe are quoting better quality panels - also really like their detailed quotes)
16 × 415W Jinko Solar Tiger Neo - JKM415N-54HL4-V
1 × Fronius Primo GEN24 5.0
1 x Fronius Australia Pty Ltd Smart Meter
6.64KW System $8,000
7.885KW System $9,900 (more panels/larger inverter)

Unified Energy/Solar? (These guys called real quick after filling out the solar form on Simply Energy’s website)
16x JA 415 WATT - JAM72S10 -415
1 x Fronius Primo Gen 24 6.0
1 x Fronius Australia Pty Ltd Smart Meter
$8,656.77

The original panels were installed by Solargain by they seem too busy to send out a quote (over the phone the prices were similar to Jet Solar).

Arise Solar and Solar Power nation both have a pretty average reputation, and both generally use sub-contractors which may or may not do a good job depending on who you get (some risk).

Jet Solar would be my personal preference, a great local company that will look after you into the future.

Thanks Svarky,

Also got these:

Marshall Energy
Total price: $7850.00

  • 16 x 415w Jinko N type
  • 1 x 5kw Fronius Gen24 5.0
  • 1 x Fronius Smart Meter 1-phase
  • Supply & Installation

GT Solar
Total price $7690
15x Risen 440W (RSM130-8-440M) 25 Yr Product & 25 Performance warranty

  • 1 x 5kw Fronius Gen24 5.0
  • 1 x Fronius Smart Meter 1-phase

It’s really hard to work out the balance of cost vs risk. Some of the newer companies have great reviews but have only been around a couple years. GT Solar seem to have the best balance offer so far but I’m not familiar with Risen panels.
