Perth Solar Quote review 2024

Hi guys,

Just got some quotes back from solar companies and just wanting some opinion on whether the price is acceptable and which combo is better to invest in for the long run.

Also is jinko all black n type panel good? I’ve read somewhere that all black decreases efficiency when overheated? What about Trina panels? Price is pretty much the same with fronius inverter.

Options 1:

14XJinko 475W panels N type (25 years product and 30 years performance warranty)+ Fronius single phase 5kw inverter (10 years warranty) + tin roof + single storey fully installed

Total :$4600 including GST

Or 16 x 440 W jinko n type with fronius 24gen $4390 including gst from PSW

Option 2:
Jinko neo satin 440W + Goodwe EH+ for $3490 from PSW

14XJinko 475W panels N type (25 years product and 30 years performance warranty)+ Goodwe battery ready Non activated version 5kw inverter (10 years warranty) + tin roof + single storey fully installed
Total :$3300 including GST

Option 3:

6.6KW(15x440W Jinko All Black Panels + 5KW SUNGROW Non-Hybrid Inverter) = $3,690 Inc Gst

Option 4:

6.6KW(15x440W Jinko All Black Panels + 5KW SMA Hybrid Inverter + Consumption Monitor) = $4,690 Inc gst

15XJinko 440W ALLBlack panels N type (25 years product and 30 years performance warranty)+SMA 5kw inverter (10 years warranty) + tin roof + single storey fully installed

Total :$3500 including GST

The Jinko N-type panels are some of the most popular and best value panels in Australia. The black colour is not a big concern as it only reduces efficiency by about 0.5% on average compared to regular panels.
Trina panels are very similar. I personally like Trina panels due to the higher voltage which can increase performance if there is a long cable distance between the panels and the inverter.

All the options are very reasonably priced. I would go with options 1 or 3, depending on your budget.
