I have been quoted $6800 based on a 4.2kw system consisting of 15 GCL 280w panels and 1 Sungrow 5kw inverter. Is this a fair quote?

I would say that would be on the steep side for that system, check out the solar price calculator for details, these would be considered “value” brands.
