What is the difference between a hybrid inverter and a grid-tie inverter.

Hi Phoenix,

A hybrid inverter is much like a grid-tie inverter but it also has a battery charger built-in as well. Most hybrid inverters also have a backup power supply function so they can operate in ‘off-grid’ mode during a black out.
