The STC rebate cap for solar PV under the SRES has been bumped up from 100kW to 1MW, which is a pretty massive jump.

The DCCEEW page says

The expanded SRES is expected to commence from 1 October 2026, subject to the necessary regulations being in place.

Anyone know if the regulations have actually been sorted yet, or is this still up in the air?

I’ve got a good quote in hand from a local installer and trying to figure out whether I should just sign now or hold off and wait for the regulations to actually come through first.

The potential change from 100kW to 1MW is definitely something commercial solar buyers should keep an eye on. I’d probably confirm the final regulations and transition rules with the installer before signing, especially if the timing could affect the rebate.
