Hi I have been given a quote on a system - 20 Trina Halfcut Panels and 5x APSystem QS1 Microinverter. Should I be concerned about the microinverter as I cant find much info on it other than the manufactures website and it appears to be relatively new. My other concern is the fact that eachmicroinverteer attaches to four panels monitored individually but if the microinverter itself crashes I lose 20% of my system

APS micro inverters were quite popular a few years ago. We mention them in our Enphase micro inverter article:

APsystems are another micro inverter manufacturer although in the past industry specialists and solar installers have reported much higher failure and several reliability issues. We do not have much feedback on the performance on the new generation micros from APsystems.

Thanks Marty The review was very helpful. My gut feeling is to go with the known brands rather than risk a system that does appear to have “runs on the board”
